Mud cloth is not only a beautiful textile, but it also has deep meaning and cultural significance. The patterns and symbols woven into each piece tell the story of the community and tradition from which it comes.

Inspired by this textile, we crafted a unique design by handpainting leather using the  traditional “spindle” pattern to share the story of African American Trailblazers.
