Inspired by Augusta Savage, a sculptor recognized for her contributions during the Harlem Renaissance. Augusta Savage was a teacher, art program director and also became the first African-American member of the National Association of Women Painters and Sculptors. Some of her more notable work include "Gamin", an informal sculpture of her nephew's bust, and "The Harp", a sculpture symbolizing the musical contributions of African Americans.
This design features wirework with leather and wooden beads.
