$45

Inspired by Marcelite Jordan Harris, a remarkable and inspirational figure within the military industry. She made history as the first African American female general in the United States Air Force and the first African American woman to serve as the director of maintenance and logistics at the Pentagon. Born on January 16, 1943, in Houston, Texas, Harris had a distinguished military career that spanned over three decades.

Her achievements include being the first woman aircraft maintenance officer, one of the first two women air officers commanding at the U.S. Air Force Academy, and the first woman Deputy Commander for Maintenance. She retired in 1997 as a Major General.

Harris's legacy extends beyond her military achievements. She was a role model and trailblazer, breaking barriers and paving the way for women and people of color in the military. Her life and career exemplify dedication, resilience, and the breaking of glass ceilings.

These earrings feature a wooden circle with braided leather, inspired by the air force logo and the many paths paved for the future generations.
